Insel Children’s Hospital Bern
Insel operates a palliative care team in the Department of Paediatric Haematology/Oncology, which accompanies and supports patients and their relatives during the period of a life-threatening or life-limiting illness. The aim is to maintain or improve the quality of life for the affected child with cancer and their relatives, to provide respectful support during treatment, in the final phase of life, during dying and in bereavement. ‘Polo mit Herz’ supports the palliative care team to ensure holistic and empathetic care for those affected.
